Search Engine Optimization

Design: The layouts we create are by design easy for search engine algorithms to work through. We make the files as lightweight as possible, allowing for emphasis on the content, which is what gives you strong rankings. This mostly consists of separating style from content, where the elements that make your page look nice are included in a separate file (known as a style sheet), leaving only the nuts and bolts (and content) for search engine programs to sort through on the page.

Due Diligence: We adhere to conscientious coding practices that will not only boost your search engine findability, but ensures that your site displays well in a number of environments. We are firm believers in “attention to detail”. There are any number of coding “shortcuts” that some designers may take, but in the end they leave out important information that could improve your ranking. This includes things like proper use of META tags, page and link TITLE attributes, and image ALT attributes, to name a few.

Recommendations: You have the final say regarding the look and content of the site, but we will suggest a number of small ways to further optimize your site. It can really add up. This is of course reflected in our design decisions, but we’ll also point out ways to strengthen your content, along with some (perfectly legal) tricks. This includes offline marketing as well as online.
